Jamie (00:05)
Welcome to Twin Stars, the show where cosmic wisdom meets everyday magic.

Josie (00:10)
I'm Josie, artist, astrologer, and chakric pagan. I tend the intersection of ritual and art, where I create custom tarot portraits, alchemizing your sun, moon, and rising signs into visual spells of you and for you.

Jamie (00:29)
And I'm Jamie, astrologer, hypnotist, Akashic record reader, and the mystical CEO behind the House of Mage. I help you align with the rhythms of the moon, rewire your inner world, and awaken the part of you that was written in the stars and etched in the records of your soul.

Josie (00:44)
We created this podcast to guide you, our fellow starlings, through astrology, energy, and the unseen forces shaping your life. When starlings come together, they shine brighter.

Jamie (00:49)
That's it.

It's much better.

Josie (00:56)
activating our light through connection, instinct, and shared magic.

Jamie (01:02)
So close your eyes if you can, breathe into your belly. Feel the fire flicker, the spark of instinct, the pulse of truth. Aries teaches us that rage is sacred and that action is holy. So under this full moon energy, may the fire fuel clarity and your warrior heart rise. Let's begin.

Josie (01:31)
was beautiful, something I really needed to hear as we go into vibe check here. ⁓ It was a wild ride through eclipse season. I had a rough time and it's kind of like the culmination of a year long thing that's been going on because I've just had these huge shifts happen during eclipse season. So I lost my housing in

Jamie (01:39)
Thanks for coming.

Bye.

Josie (02:02)
the spring and I moved and it was a very long process of moving because of not really being prepared for the change when it came about. So it was just like a big moving process. And then I started living 90 miles from my job and worked all summer from, from afar, staying sometimes in one place and sometimes in another. And that was very sort of disheveling to say the least.

Jamie (02:24)
I think that's all.

Josie (02:31)
And now I just went through the wildest month. I had huge, very much challenging breakthroughs with men in my family setting boundaries and all that kind of stuff. And it was a good thing, but it was a difficult time. And then right between the

Jamie (02:52)
So. Okay. ⁓

Josie (02:52)
lunar eclipse and the solar eclipse, I end up losing my job. So I was like, okay, that's my final eclipse shift.

is that it's on to the next thing. ⁓ saying all that, I guess my vibe check is, wow, I feel like I'm coming to the end of like a

years long process. And it's said that with this eclipse cycle, we are in a process right now of just coming back on something that happened around 2006.

Jamie (03:29)
I feel like that just that rocking of security like with you, like you mentioned the

the homes changing and then like just the job like those are very like security root chakra based. When you moved like the first or in the beginning of the year was that around Eclipse season two?

Josie (03:40)
and that's

Yeah, the moving happened at Epoch-Lib Season also, yes.

Jamie (03:50)
Wow.

Damn. ⁓ And this is totally off topic of vibe check, but ⁓ your outfit is kind of giving me like Harry Potter, like at school vibes. So I just had to say that. Back to school time. If you were part of a house, what house would you be part of?

Josie (04:05)
that's cool.

Ravenclaw.

Jamie (04:17)
Yeah, oh my Scorpio rising one, of course, like I think that would be like hurt if you didn't say that. I'd be like. Throw it through, OK, cool. Yeah, good, good, good. Yeah, like as you mentioned, yeah.

Josie (04:20)
Yeah, what? Yeah, we're we're Ravenclaw, okay?

Absolutely.

What?

How are you? Where's your vibe?

Jamie (04:40)
my God.

My life's ⁓ been a little bit easier, Kostin. A lot of different changes, but nothing's really been affecting me too much. But like you mentioned, are filming this right underneath the energies of the solar eclipse happening in Virgo. So it's gonna be happening tomorrow, and it's got me kind of really exhausted.

Like I've heard of that term like tired or wired and I don't feel like I normally feel the cycles of the moon a lot. Like, you know, those people that are like channeling the collective. Like I don't necessarily feel like that, but I am like so beat today. I was like, oh God, girl just needs a nap. But if anything can get me going, it's like astro talk and just like, you know, talking about little witchy things. So here we are.

Josie (05:06)
And then.

your turn.

Yes.

Jamie (05:34)
Yeah, let's get activated.

And ⁓ speaking of the activation, let's talk about today's episode, Warrior Heart, Full Moon in Aries and the Rise of the Wild Self. So this episode is dedicated to the Full Moon Lunation happening on Monday, October 6th, and it is happening in the sign of Aries.

when you look at the ruling planet of the Lunation, it happens to be Mars. And where is Mars, you ask? It's in Scorpio, which is also ruled by Mars. So right now we have a lot of untamed martial energy. So just to give you like a couple like keywords of like the energy, with Aries,

It's initiating bold, fiery, impulsive, assertive, action-oriented, independent. But it can also be aggressive, impatient, self-centered, hot-headed. So these are gonna be a lot of things. And with Mercury moving into Scorpio, Mercury is how we communicate. It's how we're gonna see the world. how our brains are gonna think things through. It has more of that.

martial biting tongue on it. So during this full moon, be careful because anger might arise, maybe some little spicy interactions between you and your coworkers, friends, family, all of it. It's all out on the table.

Josie (07:15)
Yeah, and I'm getting like an image of visual of like ⁓ a an electric eel because it feels like, okay, we've got Aries full moon, which is like a kind of like watery lightning bolt, right? The full moon in Aries is like a lightning bolt combined with the elements of water. And then we have Mars ⁓ in Scorpio already, and that's got a whole

The same thing, fighting ⁓ energy in the water. Like, Scorpio is kind of the fighting fish as it is a water sign, but it's got a ruler ship, co-ruler of Mars. So we've got like two placements that are creating that sort of ⁓ like watery aggressor.

Jamie (07:54)
Okay. Okay.

Josie (08:11)
And then you bring in the electric

with the Aries and then the Mercury moving into Scorpio is totally electric eel. Like the communication form in Scorpio for Mercury is like electrifying people or stinging people, zapping people. That's how Scorpio communicates. ⁓ And so I just think that the electric eel is like the quintessential like animal of this ⁓

Jamie (08:21)
Yeah.

Josie (08:40)
this particular, this particular

⁓ areas, Loo Nation because of Mercury and Mars also heading right into Scorpio.

Jamie (08:50)
Yeah, I when I was like researching just more astrology stuff as I do I've heard like this thing where they were people were comparing contrasting ⁓ Aries versus Scorpio because they are both ruled by Mars and they said with Aries it's like a machine gun like

Josie (09:06)
Mmm.

Jamie (09:11)
You get them all at the beginning, you kind of overdo it, you know, that assertive, that cardinal energy, that shifting of the seasons. And with Scorpio, it's like a sniper. It's like that one head shot, like you're dead. Like you had no chance. But I thought it was funny because both of them were in comparisons to murdering somebody. I was like, this is terrible.

Josie (09:38)
Well,

you know, Martial is Martial for a reason. Mars, yeah. Martial, arts and Mars. Oh, where did that come from? That's not the same exact word,

Jamie (09:43)
Yeah, martial arts. Yeah, totally.

This fire moon calls for us to reclaim instinct, honor, sacred rage.

and boldly act from our hearts.

Josie (10:03)
and what better way to do that than to

tap into our free resources that are linked below in our show notes. We've got a good Spotify playlist for you for every season and also a grimoire, a witches guidebook of ⁓ rituals and workings for the season we are in and the Illumination Cycle we are in as well.

Jamie (10:27)
Nice. And if any of you like, subscribe, want to leave a review and share the podcast with others, will help our circle grow and more starlings together will just make us more powerful.

Josie (10:40)
I love the imagery of starlings coming together and growing. It goes ⁓ actually very well with the concept of ⁓ the crown chakra, which is, ⁓ that's still the sabbath that I'm working on chakra wise. And I like to, I align each sabbath on the eight wheel spoke of the year with on the eight spoke wheel of the year.

Jamie (10:45)
Yeah.

Josie (11:07)
with a chakra. So right now we're getting toward the end of the year and it's the seventh chakra and there will be an eighth blank space void and then we start in again on chakra one at the winter solstice. But just a little description of how it works and why I'm thinking about the crown chakra right now as we move through these two moon cycles. ⁓ So it was there for me at the beginning of the this ⁓

Jamie (11:12)
you

Josie (11:37)
season that falls between Mabon and Samhain or Halloween. And Mabon is the fall harvest, Witch's Thanksgiving type

Jamie (11:41)
Okay.

Josie (11:50)
of celebration. And that's where this crown chakra comes in for me. And with that blooming kind of collecting together little seeds all gathered, we get the crown chakra concept.

that is like also ⁓ mirrored in the lotus and the sunflower. And we were talking about that in our last episode. ⁓ But here in this Aries full moon, we have another way that correlates to ⁓ the seventh chakra. And I just found a little passage about the full moon in my favorite book about chakras, The Wheels of Life. And it's by Anne O'Dea Judith, if you care to know.

Jamie (12:25)
Okay. Okay.

Josie (12:33)
⁓ She describes that the crown chakra is like the full moon. And so of all the chakras, the full moon that happens at this time of year feels to me like it would very much be an identifier of that energy, of

that crown energy being like a light source between us and the heavens. ⁓ So I'll read it to you guys, what she says, because it's pretty great.

Within Sahasrara, which is the crown chakra, is the full moon, without the mark of the hair, resplendent as in a clear sky. It sheds its rays in profusion and is moist and cool like nectar. Inside it, constantly shining like lightning, is the triangle. And inside this again, shines the great void.

which is served in secret.

Some say the petals turn upward toward the heavens. Ancient texts say they turn downward, hugging the skull. The petals are believed to be illustrious white.

Jamie (13:35)
you

Good job.

Josie (13:48)
And so there's a couple of things in there that like really stick out for me for this period of time. with an Aries full moon happening every year and Aries like having that lightning bolt energy. then within the lightning bolt energy follows this, great void, which is the thing that comes after this sort of last jolt of like activated, ⁓ energy before we go into this really time of year.

Jamie (13:49)
All right. Okay.

Yeah, it was kind of interesting hearing the reading too, because when I do energy healings, like when I'm in someone's face, and I actually like to go and feel, you know, all the chakras, it the chakras petals really are moving up, it feels like a crown that kind of sits on your head. And when I am looking at that, sometimes I can even see like someone's like origin of where they came from, like

Atlantis or sometimes it feels galactic and it's just it's like there's a city living up there but it feels like it's moving that way and that what that makes me think of is with the ancient texts like maybe it was down like they did face down and that over time that we have evolved because I know that in the course of my life and like doing energy work for the past 20 years that there has been so many shifts

that like energy doesn't flow the same way that it did 20 years ago. It's like really, really different. And it's just like, I don't know, it's brought up like a lot of stuff just thinking about the crown. I don't mean to derail up, you know, I really just want to talk about the Aries full moon, but it just really got me thinking.

Josie (15:18)
I'm

Well, isn't it like, ⁓ yeah, what a good time to go to like really think intensely about ⁓ the connections between all of those things.

Jamie (15:45)
And it's just like so much of spiritual, like spiritualism for lack of a better word, it is evolving so much. Like I know that when we were young, like the eight lions gate, like that was not a thing. Like no one, no one cared about that. And you know, now these days and just like these portal days and nine, nine, nine, that's going to be coming up soon or, no, it happened already, but like the 10 10 it's just so.

Josie (15:55)
Okay.

Mm-hmm.

Jamie (16:12)
interesting how we are in this evolution and you're talking about an evolution you're talking about correlations and connections between the chakra pillar and the eight spoke wheel and how like the eight spoke wheel has been in some shape or form like the rituals have happened since the beginning of time for all we know like stonehenge all these different like pyramids giza like we know that certain times of year activate these things

Josie (16:33)
Bye.

Jamie (16:41)
and having our light body activated by those things too. It's just really fascinating. So thank you.

Josie (16:48)
Yeah, I

totally, I see it. ⁓ And so that's like, it's more like something that I feel like I noticed more than anything is just it. And that's pattern recognition for you. know, like that's what a lot of all of this is, is recognizing pattern.

Jamie (17:03)
the absolute truth.

Yeah. Do you think that the pattern recognition comes from your Aquariusness?

Josie (17:15)
Yeah, for sure. Definitely. And like all of them, can like, I can make everything line up in my brain. one, ⁓ I used to read a lot of books about different religions just to understand what the religion was. Out of curiosity, you know, I'll probably get back into that because I haven't read anything about other religions in a long time. ⁓ But I immediately saw like how each system is just the same with a different

Jamie (17:18)
I was just wondering.

Thanks.

Okay.

Josie (17:43)
like cast and crew, you know, it's the same story, different cast and crew. And that's how I feel about, you know, the spiritual aspects of religion and the spiritual aspects of all of these different philosophies and ⁓ systems.

Jamie (17:45)
Yeah,

it's really interesting. Well, I like your pattern recognition. Back to that full moon and airs.

Josie (18:08)
Thank you.

Jamie (18:11)
Yes, sorry, but it you know the the full moon in Aries is about igniting will and so I think that there was something where you sparked my instinct you did create some level of primal clarity so like it really did like it hit on those points I was like this is so interesting and fascinating but you know as full moons come together it is a culmination of energy

Josie (18:12)
Detour.

Yeah.

Jamie (18:39)
It is a time where things are released, things illuminate, things that we didn't know that were going to be happening are happening. because of that Aries energy, the Aries is the very first sign in a zodiac. So it initiates the whole zodiac wheel, not the penguin wheel, the whole zodiac wheel. And in doing so, that takes a lot of courage. It's got a spark to it.

It is beyond just like the initiation. It's a trailblazer. It's innovating. It's, you know, moving forward. It doesn't even care about the past. This doesn't even have a past. It doesn't care about the future because they're living in the present. And so these are the things that are going to be kind of more activated around that October 6th time. And because of that and all of like the...

what we mentioned, all of the different Scorpio influence of Mars being in there, the ruler of Aries, and then also Mercury moving into Scorpio. There's just like such a huge likelihood for there to be sharp words, also to have some major clarity about things. I like to think of Scorpio as, you know,

being in a limo where you can see out, but no one can see in, so no one knows the chaos that's happening. like Anna went to our glasses, you know, like you can never see what she's like, what she thinks, but she's like clocking everyone. So there's like a real geniusness to Scorpio and really good at getting underneath things, knowing the truth. They have like a.

Josie (20:07)
I don't know.

Yeah.

Jamie (20:28)
lie detector, like bam, they know what's real and what isn't immediately. It's like instinct. So these are all the things that are gonna be like coming up around that October 6th time. so then it's just, you know, be mindful, try not to hurt someone's feelings unless you want to. And also like if someone hurts your feelings, they might not really mean it. It's just, just let it pass, you know, you'll feel better in a couple days and.

Josie (20:31)
You know.

I'm

Jamie (20:55)
You know, we're just playing with fire quite literally for this lunation

Josie (20:58)
Yeah. This

We are we're playing with fire like literally. And that's like what that Aries Full Moon is about to like juggling fireballs or something. I don't know. I'm getting all kinds of visuals on this. ⁓ But that sacred rage as a compass like

That is something that is a really, I start to think about during this time of year. And it's been super important to me ⁓ in the last several years of my life. I feel like I spent the first half of my life with like uncontrollable anger, anger that controlled me more. And it was not the goal to control it. The

Jamie (21:32)
Okay. Okay.

Josie (21:45)
goal was to nourish it and nurture it.

and give it the space for to be sacred in and of itself. ⁓ So I feel like I like to sort of do work around that from the time of year that starts with the Aries full moon and goes through Scorpio season because those two things to me

Jamie (21:58)
Okay.

Josie (22:08)
already sort of activate my anger inside. And I feel like it's this really important like kind of superpower.

Jamie (22:10)
Yeah.

Josie (22:21)
And so as I have needed to learn to not like have outbursts in the world, I have gone from being like, ⁓ we should let go of anger, like with sort of like a passive ⁓ mentality I used to come to it with, to being

Jamie (22:25)
And.

Josie (22:39)
like, no, I want to honor it and let it rest and give it ⁓ boundaries and hold it in a safe space.

Jamie (22:48)
And. Okay.

Josie (22:49)
And I think of it as like my little dragons in the cave, you know? So that for me is a super big part of this ⁓ upcoming full moon. And then Sacred Anger is like a super big part of my life currently. So around this time of year, I just love to like really put my teeth into that.

Jamie (23:10)
Well, and it's kind of cool because like for deities, we picked Artemis and the hunt. And I feel like she had some like major rage moments where she kind of like lashed out a little bit for more than she needed to. Like, you know, someone saw her naked and a hunter saw her naked and then she turned him into a stag and then the stag was eaten by her dogs, like, or by his dogs.

Josie (23:15)
Mmm.

Yeah, by his own dog. Like, really raging response. A very raging response to ⁓ being creeped on.

Jamie (23:41)
was very, very raging.

for real. But ⁓ it's so interesting that you're talking about the dragons and tending to your dragons. Because that's such a Ramsey Bolton moment, to get devoured by your own dogs is so brutal.

Josie (23:58)
Right. Yeah.

lot of Game of Thrones going on right now. Between the cosmos and us down here on this planet.

Jamie (24:03)
It really is. ⁓

Yeah. And it's just kind of crazy how I mean, there's so much to Artemis. She could not be simplified like her just raging out is just like one portion of her. It is not all of her. She has like so many different facets in which she's very kind and beautiful and deliberate.

I think that when it comes to female characters, it's really easy to oversimplify them as just being like one archetype. And truth is that we're, we all hold multitudes. Like we're all so complex. And I think that's in some ways what makes women a little bit terrifying, to be honest.

Josie (24:44)
Mmm.

those complexities and dichotomies within.

Jamie (24:53)
Yeah.

Josie (24:55)
I have a lot to say about ⁓ Artemis as the protector as it correlates to sacred rage because I believe ⁓ the archetype of the protector is like the quintessential embodiment of sacred rage in that, and especially as a woman protector because it's like the mama bear and the like,

Jamie (25:08)
Thank ⁓

Thank

Josie (25:18)
The protection from a mom is almost always fueled with a bit of rage. Like if you threaten a mama bear, you're going to get a scary thing. You're going to be at the end of a scary experience. And it's like that with like the mama tiger concept and Artemis, of course, she's like that because she is the protector of animals.

Jamie (25:26)
Okay. Okay.

Josie (25:47)
and the

Jamie (25:48)
Okay. Okay.

Josie (25:48)
protector of virgins and young women and nature is her domain. she, ⁓ you know, she rolls with a squad of nymphs who are kind of under her wing and she is really not trying to associate with men and always kind of treats them as like a threat to be mitigated and sort of ⁓ a threat to be mitigated.

and

She also seems to act out of like revenge so often when she responds. So it's like the protector and the vengeful. And it's like two sides of one coin with that energy. But you can't have the best parts of a protector without a little bit of rage or a little bit of like aggression. And so the protector needs to do something with their rage, which is, you know, take care of it.

Jamie (26:38)
That's my comment.

Josie (26:50)
and keep it sacred and make it, you're not making it anything. It is a matter of nourishing, I believe. And I've come to that conclusion ⁓ after feeling like it was something to be tamed and squashed.

Jamie (26:57)
Okay.

Josie (27:06)
Now it's like, no, it just needs to be nourished and honored. And that's what Artemis is all about. And that's how we get her for this time of year. She ⁓ was born in an injust

situation as she was the daughter of Zeus and a mistress of his, the Titan Leto. And Leto ⁓ was cast aside from Olympia by Hera, Zeus' wife and father of many of his children. She was cast aside because she was pregnant with Zeus'

Jamie (27:38)
Okay.

Josie (27:48)
two children, the twins, Apollo and Artemis. So Artemis is born as a castaway and her mother is a castaway of the community that they exist in. And Artemis

Jamie (27:53)
Okay.

Josie (28:04)
comes out with this, like this just sense of responsibility and knowingness of what she wants.

Jamie (28:07)
you .

Josie (28:17)
She's born to her mother and her mother is alone in the world when this is happening because she's been cast out of her ⁓ community by Hera. And when she does that, ⁓ Artemis just is born and then helps her

mother deliver Apollo. And so she's just instantly like there protecting and her mother is the first entity that she protects.

and remains the most important because she strives for her mother's justice throughout her life. ⁓ For her loss in status as a Titan amongst the gods and goddesses, ⁓ she fights for it and her rage is fueled by a desire for retribution and justice ⁓ and righting wrongs.

Jamie (29:15)
But the irony too of like her also being the goddess of like midwives because you know, like that was the first thing she did. It's like, you know, all those things that's like the balance is kind of crazy. And what I really like about her is like a deity paired with Aries is that like she just came out like knowing what her mission was, like knowing what the plan was. And it's like, I don't know if you guys have a lot of

Josie (29:19)
Yes. And birth? Mm-hmm.

good.

Jamie (29:41)
of eras people in your life, but they know what's up. You can't tell them anything. They are smarter than everybody. Just listen to them. Your life will be better if you just do what they say.

Josie (29:52)
I

think the Aries sons I know are the most likely to deliver a baby with no qualifications whatsoever, now that I'm thinking about it. I don't know, it just speaks to reality for me.

Jamie (30:08)
Yeah, for real, I totally agree. And then the other thing I really love about her is the myth where she goes to Zeus when she's three years old and she has this laundry list of things that she needs and she wants to remain a virgin her entire life. And I think during that era, it didn't really mean the same thing that it meant now. And it was much more of like,

I don't have to be married and be subservient to a male because that's really what that age was like. And then she asked for like a bow and arrow from Cyclops, like a bunch of nymphs, a bunch of dogs, like to be in charge of the wilderness. And in her like adventure way, doesn't even, well, Zeus grants it to her, but she wants to go out and get these things.

Like she's like, I don't necessarily need to be handed it, but now that you said I can get it, I'm going to go claim all of my belongings. And that's just like such ⁓ a trailblazing Aries kind of quality to know what they want and then to go out and get it, that sacred action becoming holy.

Josie (31:21)
Absolutely.

Jamie (31:22)
and something I don't think that we touched on, but that ⁓ Artemis is a goddess represented, or she is a goddess of the moon, just like Apollo is a god of the sun. Like there are actual in ⁓ the Olympian times, like there was, I think Selene is like the actual moon goddess, but Artemis is one as well. So like that's another kind of reason that we thought that she would be good to play in this.

Josie (31:36)
Hmm.

Jamie (31:51)
and also the act of the hunt. it's like, you know, I prepared a little myth for you to just kind of go over these different ideas of like just the moon, the hunt and Artemis itself.

Josie (31:51)
Yes.

Yeah.

Jamie (32:04)
Long ago, when the silver moon first rose, Artemis roamed the forest with her nymphs. Bow in hand, she guarded the wild, protector of those who could not defend themselves. Her arrows struck, not always to kill, but to remind mortals that the hunt was sacred, not for sport. One night, a great stag appeared. Antlers crowned in starlight, eyes glowing with ancient knowing. This was no ordinary creature, but a shadow stag.

born of the first darkness of earth. It darted between trees, neither beast nor spirit a test by fate. Artemis felt her fire rising, but within this came a whisper. If you take this creature, you claim dominion. If you let it go, you honor mystery. For days she pursued it, crossed ridges and rivers until beneath

The eclipse darkened moon. She chose a single arrow. The shaft struck true, but instead of blood, the stag dissolved into stars. Constellations spread across the heavens, guiding sailors and dreamers. Lowering her bow, Artemis saw the truth. The hunt is not about conquest, but devotion, balance, and surrender. And so the hunt of Artemis became a legend. To some a warning.

not to overreach, to others a blessing. That when you chase what cannot be caught, you find what cannot be lost. To this day hunters whisper prayers to her, not for the kill, but to honor the wild that runs forever free. Isn't that great?

Josie (33:35)
Okay.

I love that it's so perfect, ⁓ this story of Artemis to correlate with some of the moon meanings from indigenous people from the Americas, because there have been associations with hunting moon and the blood moon, which are references to hunting, the blood moon as well. And it has this ⁓ time of year set as the time of year

Jamie (33:51)
I'll start.

Josie (34:19)
where the hunt is sacred and ⁓ they would be honoring their gods and goddesses or spirits ⁓ or whatever you think of them as. ⁓ And those would be the similar spirits to Artemis. The spirits who do protect nature and who ⁓ are the rulers of both the hunt and the protectors of the animals, like the balance that we have to keep. ⁓

as we continue to be carnivorous creatures or whatever the case may be, finding a way to honor the gifts that we receive from things such as hunting. So I like so much that once again, Artemis goes with that Aries full moon and the Aries full moon is also the hunting moon. And it's just connect to the dots all over the world and people are going through similar feelings.

Jamie (34:55)
Yeah.

Josie (35:17)
in the hemisphere that you're in, it would be very much reversed in the southern hemisphere, but they have their experiences as well that are all linked together.

Jamie (35:26)
Yeah.

Yeah, absolutely.

Josie (35:29)
And it's

also, this is a really interesting time period regarding this Aries moon, because, so this year we had the eclipses and they've happened in Pisces and Virgo. And ⁓ we got a black moon, which is a second new moon. And that was where the eclipses were. So the eclipses are like this wormhole effect. Then you get a lunation reversal. So that now we've had

two new moons in Virgo and the next full moon is going to be in Aries, which is not the opposing sign to Virgo. Aries is the opposing sign to Libra and now the Libra new moon is going to happen after the Aries full moon.

Once the lunation reversal happens, this will set

Jamie (36:13)
and I'm going to it over to going it you, and going and

Josie (36:17)
several months of ⁓ having the full moon that opposes the new moon happen first. So we're sort of starting the energies with the full moon and carrying them out and finishing them with the new moon for the next like six months at least. haven't looked.

Jamie (36:17)
All

Josie (36:36)
quite far enough ahead to know how far that goes. But yeah, we're gonna be in this reversal cycle right after these huge eclipses that also ⁓ happened

Jamie (36:40)
right. Yeah.

Josie (36:47)
to be, the eclipses happened to be eclipses that ⁓ solidified almost a 20 year cycle. So there we are, like with all of these series of events happening that are really,

flipping the world upside down and changing the perspective and the order of operations. ⁓

Jamie (37:08)
So are you saying that normally that the new moon happens first and then the full moon happens second and so it's like in every season as like they change like I was Aries season it go Aries new moon and then Libra full moon and like that's how it be but now it's switched.

So we're gonna be experiencing the full moon, that culmination energy before the seeding energy of the new moon. ⁓ that's so interesting. I've never paid attention to that rhythm before. How cool, thank you.

Josie (37:37)
Yeah, exactly. ⁓

It really,

yeah, it's kind of cool. Of course, it really bothered me when I found out that sometimes we have to do the full moon energy before the new moon energy as the pair. That went all against my need for like some sense of structure in the world. was like, no, not another thing that gets flipped upside down all the time.

But now, of course, I'm embracing it and embracing the complexities of the structure of the patterns that we move through as we spiral through the universe.

Jamie (38:13)
Yeah.

just paying attention to that level of practical magic in terms of like maintaining the cycles and feeling into the cycles. You know, we have quite a few other little things and tidbits for practical magic just to really like sweeten the deal to see that you can optimize the energy of this Aries full moon

Josie (38:41)
We do, ⁓ I'm a fan of these practical magic ⁓ sort of activities I want to talk about because I've said that I've had like a very intimate journey with anger and rage. And so for me, these practical magic things are really good, even like just mental health care, basically. ⁓ Three things you can do, one would be like move the fire.

Jamie (39:08)
Thank you.

Josie (39:09)
through breath work, music, Spotify playlist would be a good one for that. Dancing, drumming, ⁓ your breathing and your moving your body. even, you know, if you have a punching bag, put some good tunes on and hit it for a little bit and let that be an intentional activity instead of just ⁓ one you're just doing for physical purposes.

and bring some of that spiritual and mental energy into the actions that you're doing. But yeah, of course, I'm going to be dancing to the playlist quite a bit and screaming the lyrics to at least half of it. Another thing, the second thing would be just to make one decisive choice that you have been meaning to make.

Jamie (39:35)
Yeah. Yeah.

Josie (39:55)
Act boldly. Take a step and do it with confidence.

and especially find one that is specifically something you've been on the fence about or have been afraid of or afraid to like come to pass with. And thirdly, I love a good write and burn ritual. So sacred

Jamie (40:05)
Okay. Okay.

Josie (40:23)
anger ritual, just write down something that enrages you on a piece of paper and then you're gonna burn it and use

some of the ash to smudge yourself as a fire blessing.

Jamie (40:36)
When you said burn it, I just like saw flames in your eyes like, ⁓ burn it.

Josie (40:40)
and then you burn it.

Jamie (40:45)
And with Mercury moving into Scorpio, this is the perfect time to do some journaling to find out what's alive in you. So really just explore what kind of emotions, what wants to come to the surface, like dig deep. ⁓ Scorpio likes the deep and it likes to transform things. So by asking yourself questions and have that automatic writing that brings in that Mercury energy.

and then you can figure out what you're resisting and then you can figure out what you really want to act on. It's a great little astro hack.

Josie (41:20)
Awesome

Astro, indeed.

Jamie (41:24)
Josie, it's time for some Oracle cards. Are you ready?

Josie (41:28)
we're gonna pick one that we do for our warrior's heart moment.

from the Wild Unknown Alchemy Guidebook. And so this is Kim Kranz's alchemy deck. And we pull one random for these Oracle card moments, And this one is the Sun's Splendor. and I love the image because it looks a lot like

⁓ the collage that I made for our last episode, which was the Virgo Eclipse and the, it was also the Mabon Autumn Equinox. And what we have here is like a sunset vibe going on and sun splendor. Those words I feel are very much the, ⁓ that's what we get at this time of year when we watch the sunsets, because we're getting our last.

days of like more light than dark. And it's sort of like a bittersweet goodbye to the sun that is just the most beautiful. And I do feel like I get the most beautiful sunsets at this time of year too. It's like the most beautiful the light gets is right before it goes away. And then it has a bunch of gems in a rainbow over top. And

Jamie (42:51)
Okay. ⁓

Josie (42:55)
flowers and a waterway with the sun setting behind it. And I did that for ⁓ Mabon ⁓ Digital Collage. It's basically ⁓ a goddess with over water with plants along these lines and then

the sun setting behind. and of course a sunflower crown for the season as well.

Jamie (43:21)
There's

no way.

Josie (43:23)
This one I like as a really direct

hit too, to this ⁓ transition to the Aries full moon and the hunting moon. Because the other thing is I feel like there's a piercing in the sun's splendor and that piercing is similar to the energy of what you do when you're using a bow and arrow. And that light is very piercing at that time of day and that time in this time of year. Let's find out what Kim Kranz has to say about it.

Jamie (43:33)
I'm ⁓

Josie (43:54)
Splendor Solis, Sun Splendor, Generosity,

Jamie (43:58)
Wow.

Josie (43:58)
Health, and Abundance. ⁓ revel in the glory of Splendor Solis. There are several cards in the Alchemy deck that relate to the Sun, yet this card specifically depicts the long-term effects of its radiance. Think abundance, fulfillment, and altruism. Envision celebration and collaboration? But is it possible? In our complex world, the Sun Splendor says yes.

Jamie (44:20)
You're set.

Thanks watching.

Josie (44:24)
one day and one ray at a time. When Splendor Solis arrived in the laboratory, the alchemist realizes that kindness and generosity are the secret ingredients. All other paths fall away.

Through giving back to others and to the world, we become more like the sun itself. Radiant light expecting nothing in return.

Don't know where to start with this? Thank somebody, thank them, and then thank another person. Soon the alchemist finds they are not alone in their laboratory and miracles arrive both small and large. Ponder the divine masculine. I like that for ⁓ Aries energy too, divine masculine. I also like it just for this is,

Jamie (45:01)
Mm hmm.

And.

Josie (45:24)
This goes back to opposition energy, which is kind of a highlight right now, ⁓ having come off of the autumn equinox and moving into ⁓ talking about a full moon energy. ⁓ I always feel like the full moon surrounding the equinoxes.

Jamie (45:29)
Thanks.

it.

Josie (45:45)
do this weird like they're like part of the energy getting polarized and balanced at the same time and like polarization and balance and polarization and balance. And I feel like that concept of the sun setting is exactly about that too, where it's like always, always asking what is the balance between light and dark in us?

Jamie (46:07)
And I feel like the sunset is very much like harvest energy, like a day well spent. You get to like be outside and be graced with something like such majestic beauty that you're like, how can life be this gorgeous? Like how? And it just has that like abundance, harvest, like it all just, it really fits perfectly into the season, especially because it's going to be very soon that things are going to be turning to the dark.

Josie (46:31)
Yeah.

Jamie (46:36)
as like Scorpio season is like on our tails and then that's the underworld, the darkness is here.

Josie (46:41)
Yeah. These are like the final

sparks of ⁓ just like that high end volts voltage energy before we go into the like, and that's even though Scorpio is not the physically darkest time of the year, nor is it the coldest time of the year for us. We are going into preparing for that. And that is also it's like that

Jamie (47:02)
next

Josie (47:11)
void after the there's a lightning bolt and then there's a void.

Jamie (47:16)
Yeah. And I think the reason that it hits a little different is that because Scorpio is that fixed energy, that it's like going into the darkness. It's like things have, they were alive and now they're, they've currently just died. And so it's like that decaying kind of energy before it gets like to the, that, you know.

Josie (47:36)
Right.

Jamie (47:40)
Sagittarius, because Sagittarius just is so expansive. It's just like, it just doesn't hit the same way.

Josie (47:44)
Yeah, it's like so dense.

then, and that's gonna be another like, from one thing to the next cycle where we go from this dense, like singular energy in Scorpio to the exact opposite of like the most expansive all is everything energy of Sag.

Jamie (48:06)
Thanks for rising with us under the Aries moon. If something sparked a fire or strengthened your heart.

Josie (48:12)
Share the magic, leave a review and follow the show and invite others to join our celestial circle.

Jamie (48:19)
The Grimoire and Spotify playlist are located in the show notes. And you can find me at House of Mage, where the moon is our mentor and magic is our method.

Josie (48:28)
And I'm at Basic Witch on Instagram, where art, ritual, and witchcraft meet soul expression.

Jamie (48:35)
Until next time, Starlings.

Josie (48:37)
I hunt with the wild, I guard what is sacred. I rise with a warrior's heart.

Jamie (48:45)
Beautiful. And so it is. Have a one guys. Bye.

Josie (48:50)
And so it is.
